Who could send Family Pillars more cases

On our call you named three groups: employers, adjusters, and field case managers. This map takes each in turn. First, the risk management people at employers, self-insured employers first. Then the workers' comp claims adjusters at the carriers and at the administrators that handle claims for them. Then the catastrophic field case managers, the nurses contracted with the carriers who set up care at discharge, and the firms they work for.

Your counties are the 19 your website lists: Brevard, Broward, Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Seminole, St Lucie, Charlotte, Collier, Miami-Dade, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee, Monroe and Sarasota. Employers are counted county by county. Adjusters and case managers often cover the whole state from one office, so those two groups are shown Florida-wide, with your counties marked wherever a person's city places them.

Your 19 counties hold 15,660 workplaces with 50 or more employees, 6,859 with 100 or more and at least 1,817 with 250 or more. That is 56.2% of Florida's workplaces with 50 or more employees.

You told us you already work with a few self-insured groups. The state lists 95 private employers that self-insure workers' comp, and 284 public bodies. 124 of the public bodies are in your counties: 64 cities, towns or villages, 19 school boards, 18 county governments, 11 authorities and districts, 6 colleges, 4 public hospital and health districts and 2 sheriffs' offices.

Searched by title at these employers, business databases returned 429 Florida profiles in risk, workers' comp, claims or safety roles. Read one by one, 114 fit. We have named 106 of them, 69 in your counties, at 54 employers. 47 work in risk management, insurance, workers' comp or claims, the people you asked about. The other 59 are safety leads.

278 insurers wrote workers' comp in Florida in 2024. The 10 largest groups hold 53.7% of the premium, and AmTrust, which you named, is the largest at 12.4%.

The state lists 86 qualified claims administrators. CCMSI, which you also named, is one of them, with a claims office in Maitland, in Orange County. The state's claims office directory holds 191 active listings for insurers, funds and administrators at 119 distinct Florida mailing addresses, since many firms share one claims address and many use a PO box. 67 of those addresses are in your counties. Self-insured employers' own listings are not counted here.

Business databases hold 504 Florida profiles with workers' comp wording (workers' comp, lost time or medical only) in the job title. Read one by one, 245 are claims people at carriers, claims administrators and self-insured employers, 123 of them in your counties. With claims staff found firm by firm as well, we have named 261 claims people, 127 in your counties, including 15 at AmTrust and 16 at CCMSI.

Business databases hold 451 Florida profiles with field, catastrophic or workers' comp case manager titles. Read one by one, 64 of the 437 people behind them are workers' comp field case managers.

Adding other workers' comp case manager titles and a search firm by firm, then leaving out anyone a second read did not agree on, the named list comes to 60, 30 of them in your counties. 4 of them work independently or run their own practice.
